Last day of 1st grade

Molly finished up first grade at the end of May. She enjoyed the year, and did great. She was at the top if her class, exceeded expectations in most categories, is on a 3rd grade reading level, and was in TAG. She is already looking forward to second grade, and hopes it brings some new challenges. She is working in a second grade workbook during this summer to keep sharp.

Her TAG class wrote their own play for the end of the year. Molly was a kitty cat. We got to go watch her perform. She was pretty excited and so proud of herself. They did a great job!

Dancing girl

Emma started dance classes in January. It's been so fun to watch her love something so completely. She has really done well, and was so excited for her first recital.

Molly turns 7

In May, Molly turned 7. Can't believe how grown up she is. She is an amazing girl, so smart and sweet. She's an avid reader, loves to do crafts, plays piano, and is a great big sister. Love this girl!

She decided on a lady bug cake this year, and it turned out pretty darn cute. Her birthday was on Mother's Day, so we celebrated the day before, and Grandma and Grandpa and her Aunt Krista came to help us party.

General Conference

As usual, we looked forward to General Conference for weeks, and it came and was over too quickly.  I tried something new with the girls this time.  I gathered gift bags that we had laying around and for each member of the 1st Presidency and all the Apostles, I made an activity bag for them.  So each time one of them came up to speak, they got to open a new bag and do the activity inside.  They were just things like puzzles, coloring, play-doh, or a little treat.  A lot of stuff I already had here at home, the rest I got at the Dollar Store.  It was actually pretty fun.  The girls had a blast trying to match the bag with the speaker, and hopefully it helped them learn the names of the Apostles a little better.

David and I are now in the process of watching all the talks again in the evening, since with 3 kids you can only hear/comprehend so much.   This is becoming a tradition every Conference, though we have yet to actually make it through all the sessions.  We're in the process of cancelling our cable, so our goal is to watch them all on the DVR this time before our cable is gone.

Random Pics

Matching and looking cute for church.
We've had a bit of a static electricity problem this winter.

Just some pictures of Brayden looking adorable.

Best play buddies.

Brayden 6 months

Now that Brayden is almost 7 months, I figured I should post his 6 month pictures. We love this little cutie.

Here's what this little guy has been up to lately:

-Still smiles all the time.  Everyone comments on how happy he is.
-Getting a little wary of strangers.
-Last month he got pink eye in both eyes, then a couple weeks later he got a stomach bug and threw up for 36 hours.
-Loves to roll around on the floor.  He can get to most objects he wants by rolling.
-Can sit with help.
-He's not too interested in solids yet.  He's tried rice and oatmeal cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes, green beans, and applesauce.  When you put food in his mouth, he'll just hang his mouth open and not swallow it.  He also refuses to take a bottle of any form.
-At his check-up he was 15 pounds 11 oz, which is about the 12%.  He's still going down the charts, so they want to see him again at 7 months to do an extra weight check.
-He's been doing well sleeping in his crib at night.  Goes down to bed around 8pm, then gets up twice on average to eat, usually around 1am and 4am, then is up around 7 or 8am.
