We started out the festivities by hitting Chuck E. Cheese last night. Both Molly and Emma had a blast. It's not somewhere we go on a regular basis, so they had fun checking out the games and eating, collecting tickets and choosing prizes. We all came home exhausted! But David and I had to stay up for a few more hours finishing some of Molly's LEGO kits for this:
Molly has been loving the LEGO Friends sets, and has a few of them, but she didn't really have anywhere to set them up and be able to play with them without having to take them down so quickly. So I made this table for her, and David finished putting together the big house so it could be set up and ready for her. I'm pretty proud of myself for finding the idea (thanks Pinterest!) and putting it together. She's loved it already!
Today Grandma and Grandpa and Aunts Krista and Kamila came to celebrate some more. We had fun eating hamburgers and hotdogs, opening presents, and of course eating cake. Molly and Emma even got to show off their bike riding/scooter skills. We so happy to be able to share special events with at least some of our family.
Molly got lots of new LEGO sets for her birthday, so that table will be put to good use. |
Emma was so excited for Molly to open all her presents. |
