Christmas

We loved spending Christmas in our new house.  We did our usual Christmas Eve tradition of decorating sugar cookies.

Then I made Christmas Eve dinner.

We left some cookies and milk out for Santa, and a carrot for his reindeer.

That night Santa came and the house looked great and ready for everyone to wake up!

You think they were excited or something?

Emma turns 4!

Can't believe our little Emma is 4 years old!  I think she had a blast on her birthday, and loved her little ballerina bear birthday cake.

Another tu-tu for our beautiful ballerina!

She was so excited about her cake.

Halloween

Amongst all the chaos of moving, the kids had a great Halloween.  We got to go trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood, and it was a lot of fun.  Molly was a cheerleader, Emma was an angel, and Brayden was a shark.  Mom and Dad were just exhausted.

Earlier in the day Emma was able to dress up for her ballet class.  She was just a little bit excited.

New House

We closed on our new house on October 23rd, and packed up the moving truck on October 25th.  I'm so grateful we had so much help, because it was exhausting.  Trying to fit a lot of stuff in a little house takes some organization.

One of the first areas to be somewhat unpacked and organized was the kid's area.  Got to make sure they have their stuff to play with!

Brayden was very helpful in setting up the bunk beds for the girls. He wanted to be just like Daddy.

Moving

One of the biggest events for us in 2014 was buying a house.  We found a cute little house that was perfect for us, and it fit our budget!  Even though we've been wanting to buy a house for a while now, we thought it would still be a while before we would be able to.  We've been so excited and have loved having our own space.  We also hope this means we're done moving for at least a few years.

This is our packing progress at our old house.

Brayden thought it was a blast climbing as high as he could on all the boxes.

Niabi Zoo

We went to the zoo with some friends to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and get a break from our packing and moving (more on that later).  The Niabi zoo isn't terribly big, and they don't have a ton of animals, but it was nice to get out with friends and see a few things.

They have a huge area for the giraffes, and if you pay money, you can fee them.  We didn't do that, but we did get to see some workers fee them.  It was so fun!

I thought it was hilarious how this one was standing and eating the grass.
