Hard at Work

I've tried hard to prepare Molly that summer is not going to be all fun and games, but will require some work around the house before play time begins.  For the most part it has gone really well so far.  She is quick to get her bed made, do her work books and practice piano, then help with whatever household chores need to be done that day. 

One downside to the house that we are renting is they didn't get it completely cleaned before we moved in.  It's nice they adjusted our rent that first month to compensate for the inconvenience, but it means that I've had to clean some nasty stuff.  Case in point, the oven.  It's taken a while to get to it because it made me so sick for the first couple of months just thinking about it, but once the morning sickness started getting better, I knew I needed to tackle it.  So, that was our first big job once Molly was out of school.  Both girls were excited to pitch in and help. 

It was all fun and games until Emma put the sponge with cleaner in her mouth.  That was the end of that.  But our stove/oven is nice and shiny clean now!
